Alumni Club Scholarships
Alumni club scholarships are merit-based and awarded geographically based on the proximity of an alumni club to the applicant's hometown. The USC Club of the Nation's Capital awards scholarships to students from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia.
Awards range from $1,000 to $4,000 per year. Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated academic strength, leadership and community involvement, as well as the following criteria:
- Competitive freshman candidates will be in the top of the applicant pool with respect to GPA and SAT or ACT
- Transfer applicants are required to hold a minimum 3.6 GPA
- Continuing students are required to hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
The application deadline for the 2010 academic year is December 1, 2009.
